For Families

What My Music Box is, and why it works.

Already a My Music Box family?

Built on five foundations

All five foundations learned in every class, from the very first lesson.

♪

Listening

Ears open first. Students learn to hear pitch, rhythm, and phrasing before they ever touch the keys.

Movement

The body learns before the fingers do. Movement builds the physical foundation for healthy technique.

Singing

If you can sing it, you can play it. Singing anchors pitch and musical understanding in the voice first.

Playing

Technique grows out of listening, movement, and singing already in place, not drilled on its own.

Reading

Reading starts early and grows naturally, once pitch, rhythm, and sound already live in the ear.
